HOT: Darren Fletcher Relishing Manchester United’s ‘Great Tour’ Of North America

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is looking forward to his club’s pre-season tour of North America.The Red Devils have arrived in Chicago to begin training ahead of the opening match of the tour in Toronto, Canada, where they will take on Scottish giants Celtic.
They will subsequently play matches in Philadelphia, Kansas, Houston and finally Guadalajara, and the Scotland midfielder thinks the tour represents ideal preparation for the new season.
“Pre-season is important business in terms of getting fit for the start of the season, but there will be some time for relaxation, which the players will enjoy,” Fletcher told MUTV.
“There won’t be thousands of fans outside the hotel so maybe the lads will be able to get into the cities and take in a few sights.”
The United man is particularly looking forward to facing some familiar faces when he plays against Celtic.
“It is a great tour. We’ve not been there in a while (since 2004),” the 26-year-old added.
“And although three weeks is going to be a long time to be away, there will be some good games.
“Personally, playing against Celtic will be interesting as I will be up against a few of my Scotland team-mates. But I’m looking forward to it all really.”
